A planning application was submitted to Derby City Council in October by developers Blueprint for a £16 million scheme in the heart of Derby's Cathedral Quarter. If proposals are accepted then work is due to begin early 2008.
The first phase will include the demolition of the former Prince's Supermarket and creating an 87,000 sq ft development incorporating six or seven shops with cafe bars and 24 apartments complete with ecology friendly roof gardens.
